Erika Fairweather, Kavanagh College, Dunedin, won a gold medal in the 200m freestyle race at the Junior World Swim championships.

St Peter’s College, Auckland won a gold award at the NZ Concert Band National Festival.  Connor Gallagher won a bronze medal at the 51st International Chemistry Olympiad in France.

YES(Young Enterprise Students) and was the closing speaker at the NZ Business Hall of Fame, which is a black tie event with 400-500 of the most influential business people in New Zealand.  Mi Rae was also selected to travel to Latin America after successfully competiting at the Entrepreneurs in Action (EIA) business competition.

Celina DongKingsway SchoolAuckland competed at the NZ Robot Olympiad Intermediate Division (Y7-9) where she built and programmed a robot within 3 hours.  Celina has now been selected as a member of  Team NZ to attend the International Robot Olympiad 2019.

Riley Grover and Noah Boyce, Rathkeale College, Masterton represented NZ in U16 and U19 age group football.

Quinn Coutts, John McGlashan College, Dunedin attended the German Friendship Games representing NZ in Show Jumping. He performed very well on a borrowed horse and he went onto the Longine’s World Equestiran Academy received tutition from some of Germany’s top show Jump riders and coaches.
